This hand-building pottery class is an act of self-care, a quiet pause to slow down, sip hot chocolate (provided), and enjoy working with clay without the pressure of perfection. In the presence of like-minded others, we’ll create large heart-shaped Valentine mugs as a reminder that love can be gentle and inward, too. This is a relaxing, fun and restorative way to enjoy Valentine’s Day. By the end, we’ll feel less anxious, more grounded and cared for. 💗
If you have too many bills (say us all), you can make a ceramic wall-hanging heart envelope in place of a mug. This adorable, wall-hanging envelope is meant to hold love letters (we wish), overdue bills, or whatever pieces of life need a special place to land in our home. This envelope is more than an object—it’s a little container for intention, holding space for both affection and real life. 💌
Your $40 includes ALL materials and two firings.
You will be notified when your art is fired and ready to be glazed, after which time you can come back and glaze on your own schedule.
This is a fun, no-pressure beginner pottery class.
I run these classes on a flexible schedule, in between other special classes shown below. I’ll teach beginner wheel throwing to one person, up to a group of 5, so please don’t hesitate on coming by yourself. It’s a laid back and friendly atmosphere and I’m usually here just playing around anyway.

Becoming skilled at pottery takes determination, patience and a LOT of practice. 😁 This class will cover the basics and get you started with learning enough to come and practice in the studio when you’re able. I’m usually here to help if you need it.

This is a fun, no-pressure beginners pottery class.
Becoming skilled at pottery takes determination, patience and a LOT of practice. Even seasoned potters have mess ups. This class will cover all the basics to get you started on this fun and (sometimes-haha) rewarding hobby.
WEEK ONE will be learning how to prep the clay and how to center on the wheel.
WEEK TWO will be continuing to improve on your centering techniques and learn pulling walls and creating on the wheel.
WEEK THREE will be learning how to attached handles and things to your pots, learning carving/design techniques and more practice on the wheel.
WEEK FOUR will be learning all about glazes and glazing all of your work. from the previous two weeks.
Price includes ALL materials. You will be notified as to when your finished fired pieces will be available for pickup.
