It all begins with an idea. I never really loved cooking at the café, but somehow I ended up doing it. I enjoyed making baked goods, and I’ll always LOVE lattes, but ever since I was a child ART has been my thing!
Soooooo…The previous café is now a pottery studio.

Thursdays / July 10, 17, 24, 31 / 6:15PM - 8:00PM
This is a no-pressure, beginners only pottery class.
Becoming skilled at pottery takes endless patience, determination and a LOT of practice. Even skilled potters have mishaps. This class will cover all the basics to get you started on a fun and (sometimes-haha) rewarding hobby.
WEEK ONE will be learning how to prep the clay and how to center on the wheel.
WEEK TWO will be practicing/creating on the wheel.
WEEK THREE will be learning different carving techniques, how to add handles and other design elements to your clay that’s not totally dry and fired yet.
WEEK FOUR will be learning about glazes and glazing our fired pieces.
Price includes clay, glaze, bisque and glaze firing. You’ll be notified shortly after the final class when your final piece is ready for picking up at the studio.

Are you a little intimidated by a pottery wheel but still want to have some fun with clay? If som this class will be perfect for you!
WEEK ONE will be researching and sketching out different ideas, and creating our clay pieces for our mobiles.
WEEK TWO will be choosing and prepping our embellishments and glazing our clay pieces.
WEEK THREE will be piecing together our final mobiles.
Price includes all materials and kiln firing. I’ll be supplying a variety of fun things to make your mobiles out of, including different materials for stringing, feathers, beads, etc. If you have something special you’d like to use, feel free to bring it. For example, I’ve attached a hag stone I found while I was in Bermuda to my mobile. Your final mobiles will be ready to take home with you on week 3.
